after image artifacts
Issue #823
closed
On the 1.6.x importer I get these super weird artifacts of on top of my mesh in viewport solid, that leave an afterimage when you move the camera. Switching the viewport to renderer and then back to solid view clears all the after images but shows something like green decals on top of my mesh, and of course the moment I move my camera the after image starts again.
this happens from the very moment the mesh is imported.
I went back to using 1.5.1 And it works fine but some of the newer features would make 1.6.1 more desireable to use

This is not related to diffeomorphic, it is an issue with blender and some graphics drivers. I have it too if I use my ati card for the viewport. A workaround is to use object instead of material for the solid mode, so you have no transparency in the viewport. Or use material preview instead of solid so everything works fine. Or use a nvidia card for the viewport.
As a side note, blender 2.90 works fine. Oddly enough the blender guys don’t seem too interested in fixing this bug, it is around in a while now.
note. diffeo 1.5.1 “works fine” just because it doesn’t use transparency in solid mode, but you will get the issue anyway in blender.
