new udims in blender 3.1

Issue #844 closed
Alessandro Padovani created an issue

It seems blender 3.1 is going to support different udim names. This means it is no longer necessary to create local textures and we could use directly the daz udim textures. Just to point it out.

Hm, not sure if this will help. It looks like all filenames must still be of the form filename.tile_info.extension, with the same filename. The tile_info part can now be more general and not just of the form 1001, 1002, etc, but that doesn’t help if the filename parts are different. The daz files have the classical tile_info part, but different filenames (torso, face, arms, legs, etc.). It doesn’t look like such textures can be combined into an udim texture.
