FACS Face Controller Append Error
Hi, I’m having an issue where appending a character with FACS face controller into a new file causes the converted widgets to fail.
I noticed this after appending my character to a different scene, so then I tested it by importing a Vic 8.1, running the standard Diffeo process and then appending her to a new scene, same result.
The rig seems to work fine, just the custom shapes seem to pop out of the hidden collection or wherever they were stored in the original file.
My current workaround is to append the entire char collection into a new file, manually drag the custom shapes into the hidden folder and save. Appending this to a new file seems to resolve the issue.

repo owner This is a problem with Rigify, right? In the original file, there are three hidden collections, but only one is a child of the main collection. All hidden collections become visible after appending to a new file, but the child collection can easily be switched off. The hidden collections on the top level seem to be lost, though.

reporter That’s correct Thomas, it’s a problem with Rigify. These two collections are automatically made during the character import process. Everything works fine as intended. Upon appending to a new file, these two collections become visible and the GZM widgets appear outside of the collections. Manually dragging them back into the hidden collection seems to solve this without issue.

repo owner The hidden collections are now children of the main character collection, so they should remain hidden after file linking.
