rotation limits displayed via IK limits are lost on some bones after "merge rigs"

As stated by the title, some of the bones in the merged rig do not replicate the IK limits that the original rigs had. (Edit: replicated using both Blender 3.0.1 and 3.2 alpha, with the latest dev build of Diffeomorphic 1.6.1.0891)
Here’s an example of a freshly imported G8M with Dicktator genitals, where both rigs are showing rotation limits displayed as IK limits prior to merging:
Then, after merging the rigs, the limits on additional bones originating from the Dicktator rig are not displayed anymore:
Viewing one of the Dicktator bones in the merged rig reveals that the IK limits are erroneously unset, but the rotation limits have been properly replicated:
