Translate light from daz to blender
Issue #959
resolved
When importing a scene from daz to blender, the lights converted to blender are very dim. It seems, if you convert the wattage to W isntead of mW , it is more like in daz.
for example, every light in blender has 100 mW, where 100 W would be much better.

reporter Yes, I am using 4.20. I guess this is what causes this…

If you’re using ghost lights then yes, since they’re based on emission + opacity. Please close and mark as invalid.

Lights are correctly converted. Emission is correctly converted as well. Unless you can provide a specific example that doesn’t work so we can look at it. Please keep it as simple as possible, as scene lights and primitives for example.
note. The iray version in daz studio 4.20 multiplies emission by opacity whle previous versions of iray don’t. This is a serious issue for daz studio since most assets in the shop using emission don’t work fine anymore. Actually the plugin does not convert this bug, so if you use 4.20 you are affected.
