Game shuts down
This has happened several times to me now, have learnt to save regularly but happened 2 minutes after loading the game just now, I am enjoying the game so far but the game can just close at any time. Is this a known bug?

Echo reminded me to ask if you turned on Clear Cache Mode under Gameplay Options.
-
I had not noticed that option, I will try that, also I don't have a graphics card, just Intel HD, haswell generation
-
In that case, how much RAM do you have? Or rather, how much is dedicated to video memory?
-
not sure about dedicated memory but I have 8GB of RAM
-
You might be able to increase the amount of ram allocated to the video chip, but that's most likely a bios setting.
-
I tried clear cache mode and it still crashed :(
Looked on bios briefly and could not see a way to change allocation
-
Never mind I found bios setting and changed it, now lets see
-
Nope, still crashing :(
Only played game for 4 minutes too :(
-
How much did it let you allocate? I have some ideas that might help, but it'll take at least a few days to try and implement them, as I work full time.
-
I tried 512MB, could have done 1024MB, but those are the highest 2 options it gave me
-
You should try 1024, as that's is what we have the minimum specs set to on Steam.
-
I tried 1024 and sadly it still crashed, seems to crash when changing scene, just crashed during a cut scene.

So it seems like RPG Maker MV doesn't really like integrated graphics chips. Unfortunately there seems to be nothing I can do about it either. The most recent update (1.1.3) includes another mode for cache clearing that clears some of the larger images (parallaxes, picture diary) on each map transfer (Teleport Clearing Mode). This helped my computer with crashing with an older graphics card, but it's still a desktop card, so it may or may not help with an integrated graphics chip.

Just played a little bit with the new update, no problems so far, so if it is solved thank you and well done

What are your PC specs? I've had this happen on one of my graphics cards even though it has the same amount of RAM as my other one. It seems to happen on select hardware and I have no idea what causes it.
