Gone back in and discovered the issue, if you accidently hit the prototype button it creates the problem, if you build and dont use the prototype button its fine. Once Chassis is being designed, if you hit prototype on engine or gearbox, the issue doesn't seem to replicate...

Put a few hours into the game, surprised ive never had the problem before.
