Battery Mass upgrade cost showing when mass is at infinite, but cost to increase quantity does not appear when researched

My mass is infinite for the battery upgrade, and I have the quantity upgrade researched and available to be upgraded. When I hover over the place where the battery mass upgrade used to be, the cost appears, and when I hover over the + to upgrade the quantity, the cost does not appear.
