scn appears in and overwrites res

i set a series of items to research in the comp then went to get a drink came back cliked on a item in the scan window and several items in the res window cleared and showed the lower msg in crank1.jpg seconds later that msg moved down showing the other one then i clicked on another item in scan window and then the res window showed crank2.jpg
