Modifiers not added to hit or wrong modifiers added to damage dnd5e

Issue #132 resolved
Former user created an issue

Title, had a player that tried to add a longbow, and no matter what setting we changed, it added no modifier to hit, and added strength instead of dex to the attack, similar issues cropped up for all of my players, I'm on windows 10 client, they're all on windows 10 web.

Make sure you’re using the ObsidianEffectSheet to edit your item. And, if you are, could you post a screenshot of how the item is set up?

I’m not sure how this is relevant to the issue posted. Is your issue resolved? Are you able to correctly configure a longbow?

    I’m not the originating reporter.

When the Item SRD is converted to obsidian. All weapons are initially set up with no ability on attack and strength on damage.

Unless the item were then updated it would present as the issue raised.

Okay, that makes more sense now, thank you. I’m so used to Bitbucket marking the original as ‘Former user’ and then having a followup from a now logged-in user.

It does explain the initial configuration (which I’ve adjusted now in 3.5.1 to do a better job of converting SRD weapons, so thank you for that), but doesn’t explain how they weren’t able to ever get it working. I haven’t been able to reproduce that at all, however, so I assume they just weren’t aware of the ObsidianEffectSheet.

I’ll leave it up for a bit longer anyway to see if there’s a followup.
