When I roll it always rolls 2 dice, Will alos not roll for a custom spell?

Whenever I roll from the ATTACK tab, it always rolls two dice whether or not I have advantage/disadvantage. Additionally, when I click on "'Thornwhip" which is a custom spell, it doesn't roll anything.
