[Feature Request?] Advancement / Easier levelling

Issue #328 new

Problem (I think, please correct me if I have missed something!):

It’s difficult to level up in Obsidian even though it’s got a lot easier in the default sheets. I think the only way is to click the character sheet cog, then click the class cog, then edit level, manually adjust hit points, and then start adding class features…by creating them manually because drag and drop from compendiums doesn’t seem to work. Defining subclass seems to be free text.

Request:

The DND5e System has drag and drop for class features, as well as the Advancement functionality since 1.6. Would it be possible to put some of this functionality into Obsidian to make it easier for people to level up please?

I’ve raised this as a single feature request because of the system functionality, but I know with so much custom stuff you might not want the default version so I think the key things I’m interested in are:

  1. Not having to manually create class features so at least getting them from a compendium (maybe I’ve missed some functionality here?)

    1. Ideally features being added automatically when selecting a class/subclass/gaining a level
  2. Making the level change option more accessible from the sheet (currently behind 2 cogs I think?)

  3. Something to prompt players to do their hit points on level up
  4. Subclass from a list? Or dragged from compendium

Thank you, Obsidian is so great in so many ways <3
