Migration Failed [Foundry VTT v0.5.3 - Obsidian v2.4.6]

Issue #76 resolved
Charles H created an issue
  1. The steps you took to encounter the issue. When I enable the module and save, it asks me to migrate. When I select Begin Migration, it immediately fails and says to check the console for errors. I cannot find the console and F12 does not work.

  2. What you expected to happen. Not really sure since there are no real instructions on what takes place as far as I know.

  3. What actually happened. Failed migration, and had to reload the application and disabled obisidian.
  4. Whether you encountered the issue in the foundry client or in a web browser, or both (and which browser and OS, if applicable). I tried both and even disabled all other modules before attempting it again.

I would really like to get this working as your sheet module is the best one around.

Well your actor data was enough to diagnose the problem at least so I've pushed a fix in 2.4.7. You will need a very up-to-date browser to run obsidian though—at least chrome 80 or firefox 74. And if you installed foundry before version 0.5.3 and updated foundry within the app itself, you'll need to do a full uninstall and reinstall to make sure it's using the latest version of electron.

Finally, it looks like you've got some complicated characters in there and unfortunately it might take a bit of time to get them all setup correctly in obsidian, even though I can see that most of the data seems to have migrated ok. So, sorry about that but I hope you find it's worth it. If you have questions about how to do that, feel free to ping me on discord as I'm aware obsidian is not super intuitive.
