Line breaks saved in editor

When adding html in the T&C content text area, line breaks (\r\n) are saved and rendered as <br /> in the html. Can we relook at how we do this? Either force html, or force plain text, or use the confluence editor?

Parsing the text as html is done by external api. If the problem only in a new line, I propose to filter out line breaks (\r\n) from the text before it gets to the parser. Geoff, do you agree with this solution?
