Latest Beta is Not Working on Win 10

Issue #61 new
Former user created an issue

I have a surface pro and 27" LED Cinema Display.

Also the connector I am using minidisplay to DVI and the DVI is inserted into a Dell Hub Device which is then inserted into my Surface Pro.

I downloaded latest Beta 1.5.7 and it is not working.

I’m not able to install. I get an error that .NET 4.5 is not installed, but I actually have a newer version installed and you are prevented from also installing 4.5 into Windows 10.

I had the same issue in installing the Brightness controller software version 1.4.4. But I was successful in installing beta release 1.5.7. But still, I am getting the error "unable to detect any Apple Display Please make sure the USB cable is connected". But I have connected the USB to my laptop. Did you resolve the issue?

Also feedback: Windows 10 Pro x86 works, Windows 10 ARM works, Windows 11 ARM works.

Make sure, you can see the Monitor as an USB HUB in Windows Device Manager. If there not visible, BrightnessController will not recognise your monitor either.
