Hi @Scott McEwan , I think I just figure out, I was having same problem with Beta version. You need to plug in the USB as well as the ThunderBolt cable. I stopped plugging both in and just magically figured it out (using Display cinema to power another MacBook next to my PC. I hope this helps. Super happy I figured this out.

Beta version 1.5.7 with 24” Cinema Display. Cinema Display is connected to laptop via 2 adapters (mini display port to regular DP, DP to HDMI/USB).
Get message “Unable to detect any Apple Display. Please make sure the USB cable is connected.”
