Verify samples against multiple archived video files

Issue #57 new
Gfy repo owner created an issue
  • I created .srs manually with the offset using extracted .mkv files (3 samples in Sample\ + 3 .mkv files inside rars). When running pyrescene it re-creates new srs files without offsets instead of using the manually creates srs with offset. I had to move the .mkv samples to a temp folder to force pyrescene to use my srs files instead.

  • maybe it could use a new switch "Use existing srs files if found"
  • the current behavior is actually good

  • Ideally, it would be even better if pyrescene could extract multi-file releases, and try to use all the files to get offset for all samples (and maybe even store which file the sample is for if the srs specs allow for it)

  • <Gfy> it could test the other included video files yes (on the fly if not compressed)

  • <Gfy> not in the srs spec no
  • <Gfy> I'd rather not touch it too much since it's used for various file formats together
