Installation warnings on Linux

User WR reports: During installation I also found that I got the following warnings:

‘grid’, ‘parallel’ and ‘true’ not available for R3.1.1. Ncdf, lattice, grid, bigmemory, parallel: installation of package ‘RCcurl’ had non-zero exit status.

The bio3d v2.1. seems to work Ok on my computer, but should I be worried about these absent packages or are these only required under specialized circumstances?

I think package is okay. We just need revise tutorial. Attending the workshop now and will check it later today

added libcurl3-dev to the apt-get list. that solved the issue on my test ubuntu box
