I’m not a programmer, so I don’t know if this is what’s needed. But, Keiron at SCC is usually pretty quick to respond to requests/questions.

Yeah this is for if you wanted to create a plugin for SN itself; not interact with it from across a network. I’m not finding any documentation that would indicate such a thing exists in SN, let alone how it operates… which is the same state things were in when I was a user of SN from version 3 util version 6.

I was afraid that would be the case from the SDK description. I’ve pinged Keiron. I’ll pass on what he responds with.

In the meantime, Stellarium is a good alternative. There are the other planetarium apps, of course, but Stellarium is what I’d call the most “SN-alike” of them all and NINA can grab target/view center coordinates and any FOV rotation from it for feeding into Framing Assistant.

It has been a long time since I’ve looked, but has SN grown an API? The most recent version I have is SN6 for the mac.
