Issue #1076 resolved

Would it be possible to add support for Player One cameras to the roadmap?

Thanks

    Have you tried their ASCOM driver? That should “just work” if it’s compliant.

    Interestingly they claim N.I.N.A. support on their Website:

    Although they mistakenly list it as a “Paid application” so I’m not sure how accurate that would be 😉

    They publish an SDK which appears to be relatively uncomplicated. @Stuart Taylor perhaps you could get them to loan one of our developers a camera? If they do then I’m sure we could add native support relatively easily.

    @Simon Kapadia I am using their driver successfully with SharpCap. I didn’t spot that there was an ASCOM driver. I’ll try that

    No problem, glad you can get it working. If you ever think there’s value in having a native driver rather than ASCOM, follow my suggestion above 😉. For now will close this issue.

    Just got this from Player One;

    Hi Stuart, I'm glad to see your email. I think it's really necessary to add native support in N.I.N.A. We will contact with them. BTW, our website has wrote NINA is a paid application, that's a mistake, I will modify the introduction. :)

    They have reached out to me and will provide a camera. So it’ll be just a matter of time till we have native support 🙂

    A sample camera has arrived. I have started to work on the native driver and I am already quite far with it. Might be done by next week already.

    Fantastic! Thanks! Will this work for all Player One cameras? (because the one I have is different to the one they sent you).

    Excellent! Thanks Stefan. I’ve just tested with my Apollo M mini and it works fine
