Alpaca for Telescope issue

I connect telescope device using Alpaca. Although I see NINA connects the device successfully, but the key pad on the right side is not activated.

    Hi,

    the areas in the marked panel depend on a couple of boolean flags that a driver needs to report to be capable of. CanPark, CanFindHome, CanMoveAxis etc.

    It seems your driver does not report to have these capabilities. You can double check that using the log level on TRACE where each ascom property call is logged.

    Because N.I.N.A connects Alpaca device directly using WiFi, there is no ASCOM log left. There are some features such as synchronous slew, synchronous abort slew not supported in this device, so their returns are False. Can you tell me which flags must be true in order to activate the keypad?

    I’m referring to the nina logs, not the ascom logs. on trace level nina logs all ascom/alpaca property getter results.

    I don’t see CanUnpark and CanMoveAxis called in trace level log. For comparison, I ran ASCOM Conform Universal and those properties return “True.”

    I’ve looked again through the specific part of the code and it checks for this one here: “AlpacaTelescope.CanSlew: False”.
    The docs don’t say explicitly that this flag is only there for synchronous operations but rather the general capability that a mount can slew at all.

    I read your post. I assumed that CanSlew is for synchronous operation because there is CanSlewAsync for asynchronous. Also synchronous slew is obsolete now, CanSlew should be always False.
