Sometimes NINA shows a noisy image eventhough the image doesn't show noise when opened using other software
Which Version are you running?
I'm using v3.1 HF2, but this has happened with previous versions.
Description
Sometimes, NINA shows a very noisy image (please see the screenshot attached).
If I open the same image using different software, I don’t see the same level of noise, not even after stretching the histogram.
This makes people think there is something wrong with the camera, but the images taken are fine.
Steps to Reproduce
- Connect the camera
- Cool down the sensor
- Take images on a loop save them to disk
- Some images will show bands and look very noisy
- Open the same image in Siril or Fits Liberator, and there is no noise

reporter Why does it show randomly?
Can any configuration be adjusted to get consistent previews (i.e., not showing these bands randomly)?
This is very confusing to the user because it looks like the camera just failed.

reporter By the way, this is seen when taking normal images, not just bias frames.

repo owner Nina just shows the image data as provided. If you have an example where you open it somewhere else without bands and just see the bands in nina, it would be great to share such an example, ideally a raw format image like fits. Otherwise this is just how the data was given.

This is not a bug. This is how a bias frame will look like with the usual Midtone Transformation Function. Pixinsight also shows a bias frame in a similar fashion.
