Forced SAVE of setup data?

I had a crash the other day and lost all my updated info I did to my new nina install. Can we get a forced "save". By copying the default config I'm making a backup correct?

I often am seeing data change. (I lost the path to my sky atlas targets and had to reenter it) I had my planetarium program (was stellarium) set and it worked oddly the next day and I saw it was set to CdC. (which I don't like and would not have set).

Just some odd flukes in my settings that seem to get lost or change? I'm assuming changed settings don't get saved until I exit? Just wondering why I often have to re enter data again.
