Tooltips for the buttons

For new users still learning the app. A lot of the buttons and controls would really benefit from tooltips that help to explain what they do.

Most buttons already have tooltips. Could you provide details which button's description is lacking?

I haven't been able to do any imaging for a few days, life got in the way, but I'll try to get a session in tonight and add some details when I'm imaging.

In general, I think adding more detail to the tooltips that are already there is probably what I was more thinking about when I wrote this proposal. So for example instead of a button having one or two words to say what its name is, it has a couple of sentences in the tooltip explaining a little bit about what it does. This would aid in feature discovery for new users, and could also be a good place to put hints to intermediate users (e.g. on the camera gain setting, explain a little bit what more and less gain actually means for the astrophotographer)

Yes. Not everyone reads manuals (sorry)

More and more tooltips are being added and also with more detail. Using the crowdin translation suite makes this a lot more conveniant for developrs. Closing this issue as it is too generic, but we will constantly improve the tooltips nevertheless. You can also propose new lables for the existing tooltips using the crowdin platform
