Error During Live View - Rel 072
New 072 installation. Basic setup of OSC and storage locations. Trying out Live View. At one point the N.I.N.A could no longer download any images when running a new imaging sequence. I had to restart N.I.N.A.
Windows 7 Pro x64 w/ all patches and updates. I used the ZWO driver not ASI Camera 1 ASCOM.
Steps to Reproduce
- From new installation. Set up image storage location, connect OSC (ASI2600MC Pro) and go to Live View screen.
- Start Live View. See settings below.
Note - I took some test images before trying Live View.
The image below is when N.I.N.A. locked up and could no longer image.

Vendor support for live view-like functions in astro cams is hit or miss, even down to the model level. We’re actually weighing whether to remove this function for all but DSLRs. You will get better and more flexible results if you instead loop single exposures at the desired shutter speed than use live view.

reporter This may be a good idea, limiting to DSLR’s. Will looping give me HFR data?
-
Yes. It’s just like hitting the single exposure button bukt it automatically repeats. Just try it.
-
reporter It works well. Thanks Dale.
