Question: Custom horizon map: Loop and Utility condition

Issue #734 resolved
Ruediger created an issue

Hi Stefan,

I have tested the custom horizon map based on my actual measured horizon points and it works quite nicely for planning.
But I have three questions:

  1. does the loop condition “Loop while Altitude above Horizon” use the custom map or standard horizon?
  2. will there be a condition “loop while Object visible in custom field of view”
  3. will there be a Utility condition “wait until object gets into custom field of view.

Thank you!

Rüdiger

    1. Yes of course it will use the custom horizon if specified (or 0 altitude when none is specified)
    2. Not sure I understand this point
    3. There already is “Wait until above Horizon” which will use the custom horizon if specified (or 0 altitude when none is specified)

Thanks for clarifying. I will test it. Great feature.

The second question was not too well considered. I was thinking of the situation, that one direction is completely blocked. But after re-thinking I noticed that this situation can also be described via ALT values = 90. So all is fine.
