ToupTek DeepSkyPro 2600c loses pictures with N.I.N.A.
Issue #752
closed
Hi,
I used the ToupTek DeepSkyPro 2600c camera and made a sequence with 3 min. exposure per picture. Roughly every 10th picture was lost. Same happened with the ASCOM and the DirectShow driver. I tried the same setup with the ToupTek Software ToupSky and there I had no issue. The error log says: camera timed out and did not sent the image after 60 s when the exposure was done.
Thanks, Rainer

reporter Hi Dale,
Thanks for the quick answer. I tried ToupView (sorry wrote ToupSky in my former posting) and there is no problem. It only occurs with NINA.
Thanks, Rainer

repo owner Does the problem still occur? The touptek SDK was updated for 1.10 HF2

reporter HF2 with the new SDK solved the issue. You can close the bug. Thank you!

If this same issue is happening with the ASCOM and DirectShow driver, then the root cause of it is likely external to NINA and those other components. Perhaps the issue is with the USB connection or the USB driver, or even the camera itself.
Have you tried using the current version of ToupView to see if the problem also exists there? If it does then you should certainly contact the vendor for support.
