Southern Hemisphere three point alignment, Altitude Adjustment inverted.

Issue #911 closed
Clifford de Wit created an issue

Is the issue reproducible, YES
Are all prerequisites that are mentioned inside the manual met?, YES

Which Version are you running? 1.11.0.113

Description

I am using the latest Nightly version of N.I.N.A and one of my primary reasons Is the three point polar alignment.

I have tested it over a few nights now and think I have discovered an issue in the Southern Hemisphere with the Altitude Adjustment. Basically the error calculation is correct, but the suggestion to correct is inverted. So when it says move down you actually need to move up.  After some testing if I double the altitude error, the next run is  almost perfect.  The Azimuth orientation suggestion is correct.

I will try and compile the plug in myself to see if I can isolate the issue look but wanted to see if anyone else had a similar issue. ?

Steps to Reproduce

  • Constant behaviour when aligning in the southern hemisphere, Lat -26 Lon 28
