Chilly Colors - Blocks don't work from below

The yellow blocks don't work when touched from below (level design implies they should)

Why do they even act that way from above? Shouldn't they ONLY act from below?

Also: Those blocks add nothing to the gameplay. I say we remove them, and replace the first one with a blue block, since that seems to be what it's supposed to be (Otherwise I don't know how to get the life).
