Is it good to use checkV on virsorter output before putting into vContact2?

Hi there,
There is the viral sequence identification SOP for putting inputs into DRAM and you use checkV to get rid of non-viral sequences and trim proviruses. But that is for AMG identification. For virus classification with vContact2 I was wondering if we should do the same before running virsorter output through prodigal. Is this something that should be done?
Many thanks,
