when I run the vcontact2, I found that many bugs are caused by the versions of the python packages. The environment bellow can run successfully in my machine. I hope that it can help you.

I second that issue, a lot of inconsistencies between packages, was able to install 0.9.22 with numpy<1.19.5, because the code uses outdated np.warnings .
