Character Freeze Leaving Sonata

Leaving Sonata City heading north there was a person standing 2 steps below the middle of the stairs. After talking to said person my game crashed. When I load the game up again my character is now stuck in that spot with no way to move. I have tried resetting the map but it was to no avail.

I have the same issue as above however my character is stuck in front of the pokepon instead.

Same person. I want to add that my character incapable of doing anything at the moment, the game moves around him, other characters music etc. But my character can't move, use any items or even open the start menu.
