Interaction in Hidden Grotto N/A

I can't interact with the froakie in hidden grotto. I had caught one previously but the nature/IV was horrendous. I've played this game with the sole hope using greninja, but there isn't much point without protean and 0 sp atk... Can someone please let me know why I can't interact with it?!?!?! PLEASE.
