Game stops during introduction speech

Hi, The game stops (RGSS player not responding when you check in task manager but no active pop up prompt from windows) during the introduction speech. Specifically at the end of the line 'Until the first Augur returns, I shall be'. This has happened every time I try to play the game.

I have tried both running the game in different windows compatibility modes and a fresh download in case something had corrupted, both failing to improve the situation.

Any help would be much appreciated, Cheers, Luke
