possible bug

so i got a dewgong and dive much earlier then when i was supposed to get the scuba gear. so i went to malestrom 9 and i am able to do all the events there before i went to the town where you get it (forgot the name) so i was wondering if, when i get to te town if i'll have to repeat the events again or something.
