Cannot connect to server on public network

Whenever I try to use any online features, I get the message "Server is not online or your internet connection has a problem". This only happens when I use my home connection, and I suspect it's because it's configured as a public network (I live in an apartment complex that has its own WiFi).

I've been having this problem for a while, but it's not a big deal because I can use a VPN as a workaround. However, others could also have this problem, so I thought I'd bring it to your attention.

I suspect this is due to network settings, and therefore not something we can fix. Closing issue.
