Not able to go through the abyssal bass barrier

Former user created an issue

Once I reach the abyssal base barrier i used a quartz flute but I did not have the option to use the abyssal cultist DNA

    This seems to be a pretty widespread bug. Is there at least a way to bypass this bug until an update resolves this game/plot hindrance?
