Mega Golurk

So I had just gotten my Mega Ring, pretty hype to see how the Mega Evolutions of some of my party Pokemon would work and function ( never got to play X and Y nor OR/AS ). I decided to use Golurk to see his Mega Evolution, but when I went to the moves to choose an attack, there wasn't a prompt to Mega Evolve him. I attached some snip shots from the game of 1: the moves screen missing the Mega Evolve prompt, 2: displaying that my Golurk was holding his Golurkite, and 3: my party, displaying that I had no other Pokemon Mega Evolved during that fight.

Searched on Google, nothing popped up, searched on Reddit, nothing popped up either, checked the Wiki, no mention of if this was a common bug or not. Is there something I can do to fix it?
