Suntouched Gym Leader won't come to battle

After speaking to the Suntouched gym leader, we are supposed to walk down to the battle area, but during this walk I accidentally pressed F to turn on AutoSave. Then, the gym leader got stuck at his place and never comes to battle. The problem is I was pressing all the keys to see if anything would happen, and I pressed the save button. Now I'm in position to battle and the gym leader won't come, and the game is saved. Do I need to start a new save?

It was me who created this topic.

I found a command to refresh the map, and after doing so, the game continued normally. The bug exists, but you can get around it by refreshing the map.
