Trouble extracting

I can download the game just fine, but when I extract the file there are a few error messages. Also, no matter which version I download It will give me the mac version even though I'm on a windows machine. I've tried downloading the windows version several times, and the mac version once, just in case there was a mix up in setting up the links.
