Mega Eevee uses Psychic and does not bounce Spikes

I used Mega Eevee against East predicting his skarmory to put up spikes.

After brief testing, I was able to check that Whirlwind and Toxic were bounced, but spikes were not for some reason.

A minor issue is that Toxic does not display the correct pokemon name when bounced, but I do not have a picture.
