Sprite Issues

I am in the 4th gym and i ran into a trainer who has a slurpuff.The game crashed as it could not handle the sprite but i thought this was fine as i fought a trainer with a meowstic before and this happened but i went back onto the game and it was fine but with slurpuff it crashes every time and i saved the game before the battle but now its not loading.I looked up how to solve this issue online and it said to remove any .gif files but i looked as best as i can but i couldnt find any .gif files relating to slurpuff.I use the insuegence launcher so i looked in a 1.1.7 file and couldnt find anything i hope you can help solve this issue
