Missing mission pay?

Did the mission for the scientist club in Koril Town, the head scientist paid 3000 pokedollars.... headed to the pokecentre to replenish pokeballs that were used.

When reaching the top floor to do so, available money was only 892 pokedollars - which implies the pay for the mission went missing/was not added to funds correctly.
