Screen size doesn't stay the same.

When starting the game with the screen size on full, the screen isn't full screen and I have to change a setting in order for it to adapt and go into full screen. also, when changing the settings to do this, the music in the area I am currently in starts playing even if I haven't actually selected continue yet.
