Can't see in second gym

So here I was deciding the take on the forest gym in Vipik city when I learned about the tree maze thing. I enter the tree and suddenly I can hardly see. There is a small light which I assume is meant to be centered on my character but is actually a bit to the right and the far right of the screen has a big block of lighted area. As you may be able to imagine not have a proper light can make navigation of this area quite difficult. I've included a picture of my predicament.
