Not allowing me to switch when I defeat a Pokèmon

Once I defeat a Pokèmon while battling someone, the next one just comes out without the game telling me what the opponent is changing to and asking me if I want to change Pokèmon. it makes it way harder to advance in the game. This started when I updated to 1.1.8.

It sounds like you have the "Battle Style" option as 'Set' in the options?
