No Pokemon Cries, sound files are on my computer

There are no pokemon cries in the game for me. Heatran makes no noise in the beginning when I press Enter or C. No normal or delta pokemon have cries that play in game. In fact, no sounds outside of the music plays and the action sound effect work. Please send help.
