"Remove Follower" not working?

I don't know if this just hasn't been implemented yet or if I'm just using it incorrectly, but when I press the "O" key to remove follower, which I assume is supposed to be the pokemon that follows you, it doesn't seem to work, and the follower doesn't disappear.
