losing to rayquaza and the augor after defeating gym leader

after I lost I can't go back to battle rayqueza because after i go to the floor of where i fought the gym leader damian is blocking the stair case (after i went up) i can't go down now i am stuck and can't continue game please fix as i was enjoying game so much and put a lot of time into it and i tried pressing refresh the map and nothing happened ppllllllllssssss help
