Trapped in Mission 6. No Rock Climb

I am currently trapped in one of the quests where you are to find a Pokemon for the TV show. This is the 2nd quest where you are supposed to find the Latios, again, near the lake. However, I do not have rock climb, nor the ability to use it therefore it seems like I am permanently stuck here. Unless there is something I am missing, I can't do anything.L)

Having same issue and really sucks because now I can't do anything

I experienced the same fatal error. However I was able to restore a backup save to get out of it.
